Seasons of life

The toughest journey in life is stepping into the daring boots of confidence and self – reliance leaving behind the tiny tot-toys.

“‘Good’ shoes lead you to ‘good’ places”, they say; and yes, rightly so too.

You step into those red toy-ish ones and all you find is reds and blues of happiness and toffees; going from one lap to another, led by one finger to another. And then you grow, you step into those converse shoes and you find yourself jumping from one

Life is everything but staying still.

wall to another, in those childish days right before we are termed as teens. Then you grow into ladies with stilettos and heels, and you feel the

 world is right at your feet…crushing those ‘infatuationed’ hearts, feeling like you own the world!

And then, finally you age into wisdom, and learn that not those delicate stilettos are meant for the ups and downs of life but rather the boots that give you the passion for life, the strength to step onto evil and crush it under your feet, the fighter that has to breathe in you in every crucial turn of your life, telling you that life has to go, forever. And giving you the zeal to rise up after every fall, to walk past every mountainous road…

I couldn’t but add this line which sounds like the exact echo of my thoughts-
I like Cinderella, I really do. She has a good work ethic. I appreciate a good, hard-working gal. And she likes shoes. The fairy tale is all about the shoe at the end, and I’m a big shoe girl.
